Modern Talking(모던토킹)의 'Brother Louie(브러더 루이)'

Modern Talking(모던토킹)이 부른 'Brother Louie'는 1986년 발매된 그들의 3번째 앨범 <Ready for Romance>에 수록된 곡입니다.

1985년 모던 토킹의 데뷔앨범에 수록된 'You're My Heart, You're My Soul'과 함께 80년대 클럽과 롤러스케이트장에서 많이 들을 수 있었던 흥겨운 유로댄스곡입니다.

이 곡은 이 그룹이 1989년 랩을 추가한 리믹스 버전을 발표하였는데 이 곡은 MBC TV프로그램 "황금어장"의 오프닝 곡으로 사용되기도 하였습니다.

이 곡의 내용은 자신이 사랑하는 여인 주변에서 치근대는 '루이'라는 남자에게 그녀는 나의 여자이니 꺼져버리라는 내용의 가사입니다.

 

독일의 전자음악 그룹 모던토킹(Modern Talking)

모던 토킹은 1984년 독일의 스타 작곡가 디터 볼렌(Dieter Bohlen)이 주축이 되어 1980년 데뷔한 신인가수 토마스 안더스(Thomas Anders)를 영입하여 2인조로 출발하였으나 후에 3인조로 활동하다가 2003년 해체된 독일의 전자음악 그룹입니다.

두 멤버간의 계속된 불화가 해체 사유가 되었으나 이들의 음악은 40여년이 지난 지금까지도 유로 댄스 음악을 대표한다고 여겨집니다.

대표적인 곡으로는 <You're My Heart, You're My Soul>, <Brother Louie>, <Cheri, Cheri Lady>등 다수의 곡들이 있습니다.
